All the way back in 1979, a then little-known Mel Gibson starred in the first Mad Max movie, introducing the franchise's now iconic aesthetic to the world.
Since then, "Mad Max" has become an adjective used to describe anything rugged, rusty, and ready for a desert battle. There are plenty of things that fit the "Mad Max" description around the United States, and self-modified vehicles certainly are on the list.
